Creating H&H Co. has flourished into a greater idea than it initially started to be. My initial intent was to own dresses that I could rent out for photoshoots, and that was the end all. However, in the last 6 months we have grown immensely and hope to continue roaming into other areas. My business has allowed, not only women doing a photoshoot for her maternity phase or a mother for mother’s day, but also has been a part of other creative processes in designing and producing beautiful ideas!
Soon after my first few sales I started compiling my own mood boards from Pinterest, so that I could show others what my idea was and make it come to life! I wanted to portray my dresses in a way that could inspire others to use them! In doing so, it allowed me to develop deeper into creating and growing my visions. For example, what accessories is the model going to need? Is there a specific hair and makeup style? Will they need a bouquet or jewelry? The questions are truly endless. If there is a counterpart in the shoot, will they need a particular look? Now, I will say that as more people are added on to the project, it is not necessarily easier to control all the parts and pieces to execute. When you are creative and you have a vision, you want to execute it to a T, but with that you also learn that you gotta roll with the punches and improvise at times. Improvisation is by far my most rewarding skill. To see something work out after being created on the spot? Instant gratification. For this reason and more, I have added on accessories to H+H Co. Starting small but with the hopes of expanding the collection. This will include anywhere from shoes, hats, and crowns to baby outfits and capes.
